NFPA 241

The RPH Life Safety team has the ability to assist you and your company in new construction, demolition and remodeling projects by reviewing, updating, or writing your NFPA 241 Fire Safety Plan. NFPA 241 is the Standard for Safeguarding Construction, Alteration, and Demolition Operations. This standard applies to structures engaged in the process of construction, alteration/remodeling, or demolition, including those in underground locations.

NFPA 241 is a set of codes and standards that evolve over time. Your project will likely require a current, written set of policies and plans which assigns specific responsibilities to the site owner(s) and construction team(s). The outlined responsibilities within your NFPA 241 Safety Plan are in force whenever the structure is undergoing construction, alteration/remodeling, or demolition. A NFPA 241 consultation can assist in the following:

  • Review of your project’s need for NFPA 241 Fire Safety Plan
  • Review, write and/or facilitate adoption of a NFPA 241 Fire Safety Plan / Emergency Action plan
  • Review for compliance of current standards for Fire Prevention During Welding, Cutting, Sandblasting and Other Hot Work [NFPA 51B]
